For about two decades, there has been a growing development of regulations establishing protective bodies in favor of individuals who exhibit aspects of vulnerability, within social relationships characterized by risks of asymmetries and inequalities. One of the most interesting areas for the development of reflection on the consistency and characteristics of the process is certainly that relating to the protection of the expectations of the development of minors’ personalities. This contribution will reflect on the implications of this process within the framework of the welfare state.
