In the following pages, I will try to relate the challenges posed by the use of Artificial Intelligence in language to some crucial issues concerning the problem of inclusivity of language itself, mainly in relation to the parameter of gender. NLP (Natural Language Processing) techniques provide tools that, through human supervision and the predictive and generative techniques of AI, can help administrations and individuals to use and learn how to use inclusive language. However, they remain necessarily subject to all the limitations that gender biases create. Therefore, what are the challenges — and possible solutions — arising from such an ambivalence?
