Humanity, which presents itself as a melting pot of paradoxes, is, upon closer inspection, a dematerialized entity, which is able to take on changing physiognomies, both in space and time. Hence the question about the legal identity of humanity: is there a unique legal humanity? Which is the legal form it takes, or how is it embodied in law? And which is the connection existing between world heritage, crimes against humanity and humanitarian intervention? In legal language, as in common one, humanity is therefore a term with a variable content. Which is at the same time human nature, philanthropy or human race. If we consider it in the sense of human nature, humanity seems reluctant to any legal definition. Of course, it is still possible to see the characteristics common to all human beings, but the issue related to the identification of these characteristics remains unsolved. Summarizing, the humanity of human beings is indefinable because its concept is specific to each human being and therefore effort of systematisation seems difficult.
