Xuedong Yan
Xuedong Yan received his M.S.C.E. and Ph.D. in transportation engineering respectively in 2003 and 2005 at University of Central Florida. Consequently, he served as a research associate in Center for Advanced Transportation Systems Simulation (CATSS) at University of Central Florida from 2005 to 2007. In 2007 August, he was recruited to join in the Southeastern Transportation Center (STC) as the research director. Since 2011 March, Dr. Yan has been serving as a full professor in Beijing Jiaotong University, and he was appointed as the vice dean for school of traffic and transportation in 2012 October. Dr. Yan’s research expertise includes Advanced Driving Simulator Research, Driving Behavior and Human Factor, GIS Application on Traffic Engineering, Traffic Safety and Security, Statistical Analysis and Traffic Simulation etc. Dr. Yan is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief for Journal of Transportation Safety & Security, Associate Editor for The Open Transportation Journal, and Editorial Board Member for Journal of Advances in Transportation Studies.
