Within the framework of the Language into Act Theory (L-AcT), this article is dedicated to the analysis of Comment Appendices in a sample from the CIPPS corpus of schizophrenic speech. The Appendix is an extension of the Comment and consists of redundant expressions with low informational value, occurring sequentially after the Comment and featuring a prosodic realization lacking significant pitch movements. This study investigates its main characteristics in CIPPS in relation to: i. incidence compared to non-pathological speech (8.08% vs 6.34%); ii. distribution, where Appendices are preceded by disfluencies more frequently than in the Control group (58.19% vs 36.84%); iii. distinctive prosodic profile.
