The open and large-scale attack on the judiciary in Poland under the government of Mateusz Morawiecki and the presidency of the current Head of State Andrzej Duda has been an opportunity for the Union’s legal community. In fact, the Union promptly reacted to the attempt made by Poland to take away the say of the Courts, thus making the principle of widespread control ineffective and also European law partly unjustifiable.
