The aim of the present study is to offer an overview of the bilingual behavior of a 25-year-old girl, who is mother tongue Italian and a L2 English speaker. The corpus consists of the transcriptions of five YouTube videos categorizable as vlogs and Q&As. To understand the main tendencies in her speech, we analyzed the typologies of commutations she produces, and then focused on their conversational functions. Due to the peculiar characteristics of the mean of communication, we discussed the chance to apply the category of participant related code-switching, or if the informant’s commutations were only discourse related. Finally, we considered even the syntactic loci of commutation.
