                    This paper investigates the relationship between identity construction and the encounter with alterity as a generative axis of personal and social well-being. It focuses on the epistemological and pedagogical potential of the picturebook as a symbolic mediator that fosters self-recognition and reflexive awareness—crucial conditions for individual fulfilment and for pursuing an inclusive and emancipatory sense of wellbeing.
