This paper deals with the museification of (dis)taste. More specifically, the first paragraphs describe taste — in general, as well as related to the specificities of distaste — in terms of both a sensory experience and a sociocultural construct, insisting on its complexity and transversality. Afterwards, the challenges posed by its museification are discussed, considering some relevant case studies. While a wider range of possibilities emerge as related to distaste, as demonstrated by the case of the “Disgusting Food Museum”, some crucial problems remain. Hence, the paper considers the potential of digital and immersive technologies for opening new paths in such a field.
