This chapter covers a period of the search for the Mazzotti family in Mexico in the late 19th and early 20th centuries since their departure from Tuscany in Italy in order to work as marble makers in the architectural constructions of Mexico City. Some Mazzotti’s family records as experts in marble and the construction of religious figures are presented through newspaper clippings, presentation of figures and photographs of their workshop in Mexico. The text is built mainly by the memories as testimonies of one of the Mazzotti written for family records but through the collection of biographical and bibliographic data it has been possible to give a better testimony, collection of archives and vision of the trade performed by the Mazzotti throughout the Mexican Republic.
