In this contribution, we will question the legitimacy of considering phrasemes as §§§§errors.§§§§ If the answer is yes, what are their origins? Would it be necessary to go back further in time? We will attempt to demonstrate, first and foremost, using linguistic tools, the extent to which phrasemes, and in particular the expression §§§§avoir le cœur sur la main§§§§ are considered forms and constructions that deviate from what was perceived as the general rule. We will then examine a diachronic explanation that will resolve this apparent contradiction and denote a new approach to error that treats it as an integral part of the process of linguistic change (the creative error). It follows that the difference between the error perceived as a mistake and the creative error lies not in the form of phrasemes themselves, but in their context and their acceptance.
