The aim of this work is to analyze the semantic field of the archlexem ERRORE and of the lexemes frequently present in Italian proverbs belonging to the same field such as: errare, sbagliare, sbagliarsi, fallare, sbaglio, sproposito, strafalcione, equivoco, svista, malinteso, fallo. In the first part of the work a quantitative analysis of the extracted lexemes will be carried out, while in the second part the cited lexemes will be subjected to a semantic analysis. The work will also take in due consideration also the collocations related to the indicated words. The study will show which nouns, verbs and adjectives related to the error appeared more often than others and in relation to which contexts they were used. The work will also assess whether some of the mentioned lexemes widespread at the time in Italian proverbs are still used today and whether their frequency has increased or decreased.
