The article collects and organizes the statuary testimonies referable to the JulioClaudian dynasty and coming from Egypt, proposing some considerations of a practical and ideal nature on an important aspect of roman imperial propaganda. Brief observations on the finds will also allow to highlight some of the main models (practical and conceptual) inaugurated by Augustus and generally kept in mind and followed within the dynasty (and beyond) also in consideration of their possible correlation with the provincial imperial cult.
