In this paper we intend to describe the main mediation strategies detected in a corpus consisting of spontaneous interactions between Arabicspeaking patients, healthcare staff and mediators within the pediatric oncohematology wards.
The joint effort of interlocutors eager to truly transmit information and build a solid human relationship and of patients eager to exercise their agency and be active protagonists of the treatment process. It will lead to the result of effective communication in respect of each identity, as it will be shown in the examples that we’ll present.
