The issue contains an overview of the recent activity of the European institutions in regulating the use of systems with artificial intelligence, in various fields. What is discussed most extensively is the identification of the balance between the maximum dissemination of new technologies and the protection of the fundamental rights of the individual. A brief mention is made in closing to the initiatives of the Italian Privacy Guarantor in the area of health data protection, with a view to implementing the digitization of the National Health Service.
